10 Day Imperial Europe
Your Trip starts on day one in Munich where you will stay overnight. Day two its onto Regensburg and Prague where you will stay for two nights. From Prague you travel to Bratislava then onto Budapest for a two night overstay. Day six takes you to Gyor then Vienna where you will also stay for two nights. The eighth day travel to Wachau Valley then Salzburg where you will stay overnight. Day nine takes you to back to Munich for your final overnight stay.

First day welcome to Munich
Welcome to Munich, capital of Bavaria. View the Marienplatz, with its fascinating Glockenspiel clock. Meet this evening for a Welcome Reception with your fellow travellers and Travel Director.

Second day from Munich to Regensburg then Prague
This morning stop and view the stadium built for the 1972 Olympics. Visit Regensburg, an unspoilt medieval gem on your way to the Czech Republic. Across the border see Pilsen, renowned for its breweries, before reaching Prague. This exciting city is your home for the next two nights! This evening, join your fellow companions for a Regional Meal at a local restaurant.
Third day its Sightseeing and Free Time in Prague
Prague has prospered since the fall of Communism, and its new-found status and affluence is evident during your guided sightseeing tour of the city with your Local Specialist. View the impressive St. Vitus' Cathedral in the grounds of the 1,000 year-old Prague Castle. Cross the river on your walking tour to the Old Town Square to see the Astronomical Clock. Spend the afternoon as you wish. Explore the city on your own, or consider a relaxing lunch cruise on the River Vltava.
Fourth day visit Bratislava then Budapest
Visit the Slovak capital Bratislava with its eclectic Gothic, Baroque and Art Deco architecture. Entering Hungary you arrive in Budapest. This evening why not enjoy a scenic river cruise along the Danube?

Fifth day enjoy Sightseeing and Free Time in Budapest
Your Local Specialist shows you the sights of Budapest featuring views of the famous Chain Bridge, the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district and a visit to the Fisherman's Bastion. From there enjoy superb views across the Parliament and Danube below. Later, spend time exploring on your own or consider a guided tour of the Parliament. Tonight, experience a Be My Guest Hungarian dinner with local specialities.
Sixth day travel to Gyor then Vienna
Crossing the Transdanubia region to Györ is a pleasant drive through beautiful countryside. Stroll through this quaint city, which stands at the confluence of three rivers and features charming Baroque architecture. Later arrive in imperial Vienna where you stay for the next two nights.

Seventh day tour of Vienna and Free Time
Admire the Hofburg Palace, the former winter residence of the Hapsburg Dynasty during your enthralling sightseeing tour of Vienna with your Local Specialist. See the grand State Opera House, and the Ringstrasse, a beautiful sweeping boulevard built in the 19th century to replace the city walls. View St. Stephen's Cathedral, its ornate roof bearing the imperial emblem of the Hapsburgs. The afternoon is yours to explore the city's many attractions. Later, you might like to attend a classical concert.
Eighth day its off to Wachau Valley then Salzburg Sightseeing
See the UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley, one of the most beautiful river valleys in Europe. See the magnificent Melk Abbey, a masterpiece of baroque architecture, before reaching Salzburg. Meet your Local Specialist for a walking tour of this musical city. After enjoy a Cultural Insight when sampling the delicious Austrian cakes. Dine tonight at your hotel in the beautiful city of Salzburg.
Ninth day from Salzburg to Munich
Cross into Germany and arrive in Munich. On your return to this fascinating city you will have time to enjoy the numerous museums and beautiful gardens. This evening, join your companions and Travel Director for a Farewell Dinner to celebrate the end of your holiday.

Prague By Night - Walking Tour. Join your Local Specialist for a walking tour and evening introduction to this fairy-tale city. We’ll meander through the magical old city, then explore the old town, where you’ll enjoy drinks and music in one of the quaint restaurants.
Scenic Vltava Cruise with Lunch Or Dinner. Take a relaxing cruise on the beautiful River Vltava and we’ll tell you about the legends, myths, culture and hidden secrets of this enchanting city. During the cruise you’ll enjoy a lunch or dinner of local specialities.
Danube Cruise With Dinner. Enjoy a scenic cruise on our private boat on the romantic Danube. You’ll savour a tasty dinner selection of Hungarian specialities with drinks included and see Budapest's spectacular illuminations, which give it the nickname 'The Paris of the East'.
Szentendre And Light Lunch. Explore more of Hungary and follow our guide out of bustling Budapest to the picturesque medieval town of Szentendre, set on the banks of the Danube and awash with ancient walls, cobbled streets and beautiful vistas. Here we'll enjoy a Goulash cooking demonstration before sampling this essential Hungarian dish during lunch, which also includes cake and drinks. Afterwards, perhaps strike a bargain in the shops that sell beautiful Hungarian embroidery, ceramics and paprika.
Visit To The Hungarian Parliament And Gundel. Take a guided tour of this magnificent Gothic Revival building, the most ornate state parliament in Europe. You’ll also have time to relax with a visit to the world famous Gundel restaurant for pancakes and drinks. When the Parliament is closed, we will visit the exquisite 'Renaissance' Opera House.
Local Life Past And Present. Experience local life on the Pest side of the river with our Local Specialist. Explore the famous Great Market Hall to see locals collecting their weekly shop and hear about modern life in Budapest, then takelocal transport forto see the Terror Museum - focussed on how Hungarians survived through two regimes.
Dinner With Traditional Musical Entertainment In A Local Restaurant. Enjoy dinner in an atmospheric Viennese restaurant, with drinks and traditional musical entertainment included.
Dinner And Viennese Concert. A wonderful evening of all things Viennese! Enjoy a superb dinner with drinks, followed by a concert of Viennese classical music Works by Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed and your 'A Class' tickets and a complimentary glass of local champagne or juice during the interval will only enhance the experience.
Viennese Concert. You’ll enjoy a wonderful concert of Viennese classical music including some of the most famous works of Strauss and Mozart, performed by some of the most highly acclaimed soloists and dancers in Austria. You’ll receive 'A Class' tickets and a complimentary glass of local champagne during the interval.
Schönbrunn Palace And Gardens. Enjoy a guided visit to the Palace of Schönbrunn, with its magnificently preserved state rooms and exquisite gardens. You’ll also have time for a walk through the park, perhaps as far as the Gloriette pavilion with its magnificent views.
Berchtesgaden And Hohenringstrasse Excursion. Join us for a scenic tour in the Bavarian Alps to Berchtesgaden, within sight of Hitler's Bavarian Redoubt. Via the Hohenringstrasse, we'll ascend 5,000 ft along one of the most beautiful mountain roads of Europe.
Eagle’s Nest Tour And Bavarian Alps. Driving deep into the National Park past farmhouses and picturesque villages, we’ll arrive at the ruins of Obersalzburg. Here you’ll transfer to special coaches for the scenic mountain climb to the notorious Eagle’s Nest, with splendid views of the Hohen and snow-capped peaks. This optional is weather dependent, and may not be available on all departures.
