Day by day

First Day Arrive in Cairo 

You are met on arrival at Cairo Airport and transferred to your hotel. Relax and soak up the atmosphere in this ancient city.

Second Day enjoy Cairo with Pyramids Excursion

See the limestone Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx at Memphis. Visit Sakkara and view the Step Pyramid. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Giza and see the Sphinx. Visit a traditional Egyptian perfumery for a Cultural Insight into the uses of Egyptian plants to produce their fragrances. Enjoy a view of the pyramids at night and an unforgettable Sound and Light Show.

Third Day Cairo with Nile Cruise Luxor to Dendera 

Fly to Luxor for a guided tour of the Karnak Temple complex. Board your cruise ship in time for lunch, and set sail for Dendera in the north.

Fourth Day Nile Cruise Dendera to Luxor

Explore the Dendera Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Hathor, before cruising back to Luxor to visit the Grand Temple.

Fifth Day Nile Cruise Luxor to Edfu

This morning, discover Deir et-Bahri, a complex of mortuary temples and tombs. See Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Visit the Valley of the Kings before cruising through the Esna Lock to Edfu.

Sixth Day Nile Cruise Edfu to Aswan

Visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Tonight, dress up in galabeas and enjoy some Egyptian culture and cuisine.

Seventh Day Nile Cruise Aswan

View the Unfinished Obelisk and visit the impressive High Dam in Aswan. Visit the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae. Sail in a felucca on the Nile to view the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener's Island.

Eighth Day Nile Cruise Aswan, Kom-Ombo and Edfu

Consider joining an excursion to Abu Simbel. Later, visit the roofless Temple of Kom-Ombo, dedicated to the falcon and crocodile gods.

Ninth Day Nile Cruise Edfu to Luxor

Enjoy a full day cruising on the Nile. Take advantage of the on board facilities. Enjoy the unique scenery as you cruise to Luxor.

Tenth Day Disembark Luxor for Cairo 

Fly to Cairo. This evening consider an evening meal in a local restaurant with some lively Egyptian entertainment.

Cairo

Take an unforgettable trip to the marvellous site of the Pyramids and Sphinx, illuminated against the night sky, where you'll hear the story of the ancient days of the Pharaohs accompanied by a haunting musical score.

Join us for a two hour cruise along the Nile river on a luxurious ship. You’ll be treated to dinner onboard and be entertained with a belly dancing show. During Ramadan there will be no alcohol or belly dancers.

Join us for a visit to Egypt's second city, Alexandria. You’ll see its nineteenth-century architecture and stop at the National Museum, the catacombs of Kom es-Shoqafa and Pompey's Pillar. You'll also enjoy great views from Fort Qaitbey, and stop at the Roman Theatre with its marble seating before returning to Cairo.

Luxor

Listen to voices of ancient kings, queens and gods as they share stories about the places you’ll see in the Temple during a walking tour, followed by a show around the Divine Lake. This show is operated in Karnak Temple in Luxor during the evening, lasting for just under an hour.

Aswan

We'll take a motorboat along the Nile, passing by rocky formations and islands which are nature reserves. Arriving at a riverside Nubian Village, you'll see the traditional way of life and visit one of the typical houses.

Join us for a short boat ride to Philae Island, located between the old and new Aswan Dams, where you’ll have a short tour. We’ll then seat you in a Roman style theatre for a retelling of the perennial Nile flood, and of the goddesses Isis and Hathor, to whose worship the temple was originally dedicated. Approx 50 mins.

This four-hour excursion includes a flight to Abu Simbel, site of the Temple of Ramses II with his four great statues. You’ll also see statues of Queen Nefertari on the facade of the Temple of Hathor. 75 minutes will be spent at Abu Simbel - the remainder will be travel time.
