This morning is at leisure before an afternoon transfer to the dock where you board Holland America's ms Westerdam.

Fifteenth Day to Twenty-First Day On Board for your Alaska Cruise

From the moment you are greeted aboard Holland America Line's ms Westerdam, you'll notice its generous proportions, light and spacious interiors, museum quality art collection and fresh floral arrangements. Striking the perfect balance, your mid-size ship is large enough to offer a full range of amenities, yet small enough to preserve a sophisticated personal ambience, with fewer guests, and more personal space.

Set off from Seattle for the primeval forests, ice-blue glaciers, majestic fjords and must-see towns of the Inside Passage. After a delightful day to take advantage of your ship's many outstanding facilities, call in at the Alaskan capital of Juneau – only accessible by sea or air. Wake up to the watery wilderness of Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO protected site, where the sounds of modern life are replaced by the deep, thunderous explosions of building-sized icebergs calving into the sea from a vast river of ice. You'll also visit Sitka – the former Russian capital that calls itself the Paris of the Pacific.

You can catch a performance by the New Archangel Dancers or stand on the spot where the United States took possession of Alaska in 1867. Next port of call is Ketchikan, self-proclaimed salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside, another on pilings over the water where bald eagles search from waterside perches. An outstanding collection of totem poles makes the town an essential stop for anyone interested in native art.

Victoria is a city that started as Salish Village, a main port for gold prospectors and opium traders, before transforming itself into an icon of British respectability. For many, a visit to Victoria is incomplete without a trip to the beautiful Butchart Gardens or perhaps High Tea at the landmark Empress Hotel. Your cruise draws to a close back in Seattle the following morning. A complimentary transfer is provided to Seattle International Airport. On arrival at your UK airport, your driver will greet you and escort you to your waiting car for your return private V.I.P. door-to-door transfer home.
