Tour of Hawaii - The Hawaiin Discovery Tour
Featuring:Oahu, Hawaii (The Big Island) and Maui
Come see the Hawaiian Islands, a paradise of surfing beaches, palm tress, volcanoes and excellent nightlife! On this tour, you'll have 3 extra days on the beautiful island of Kauai.
Day 1 - Oahu / Honolulu Sightseeing:
We depart our Waikiki hotel for a Honolulu city tour including: The Capitol Building, Pearl Harbour National Landmark, and the USS Arizona Memorial. In the afternoon, we’ll see some of the world famous surf beaches on the North Shore – Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. We return to Waikiki late this afternoon. Hotel (D)
Day 2 - Waikiki at Leisure:
We have a full day to explore everything that Waikiki has to offer. Relax on the beautiful Waikiki Beach or maybe take a surfing lesson with a world class company. Take a stroll through the International Marketplace for some great bargains. Perhaps you’ll want to hike to the top of famous Diamond Head Crater, as it is very close to your hotel. The evening is open to experience Waikiki’s nightlife. Hotel (B)
Day 3 - Waikiki to Kona via Volcanoes National Park:
This morning we fly to the Big Island of Hawai'i - home of Pele, Goddess of Fire. After joining our coach in Hilo, we begin a full day of sightseeingin VolcanoesNational Park - home to Kilauea, the world's most active volcano. You will have the opportunity to see ancient craters and lava flows (ancient and recent) as well as the Thurston lava tube. We end our day in Kailua-Kona, home of the Iron Man Triathlon. Hotel (D)
Day 4 - Kona at Leisure:
Today is free to enjoy this laid back community. Tonight why not experience a sunset Hawaiian Style!! Sail along the Kohala Coastline, take in the views, watch the sunset and relax. (Optional) (B)
Day 5 - Kona to Maui:
We depart today for Maui – The Valley Isle. Upon arrival to Maui, visit the lush Iao Valley before arriving in Lahaina where you’ll have plenty of time to explore your home for the next three nights. Tonight, get into the Aloha spirit and join us for an optional traditional Hawaiian Luau. Hotel
Day 6 - Maui at Leisure:
There is something for everyone on Maui. Perhaps you will simply want to relax on the beaches of Kaanapali, which are located right next door to Lahaina. An optional sailing adventure to the island of Lanai is “Da Kine”. Be sure to watch for dolphins and whales (in season). Tonight, enjoy the nightlife in vibrant Lahaina. Hotel (B)
Day 7 - Maui at Leisure:
The morning and afternoon are free to enjoy more of Maui! Perhaps you’ll join us for a mountain biketrip down the 3055M (10,023ft) Mt. Haleakala Volcano after watching the sun come up over the Mt. Haleakala Crater, a truly spectacular sight. Tonight we’ll have a final group dinner together. Hotel (D)
Day 8 - Maui to Kauai:
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your short inter-island flight to Kauai. Upon arrival to the “Garden Island” you will be transferred to your hotel where 3 relaxing nights await. Hotel
Day 9 - Kauai Island Tour:
This morning you depart on a scenic Island tour of Kauai. A few of the included sights are: A Wailua River Cruise, admission to Fern Grotto, Opaekaa Falls, and Waimea Canyon – "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific". Hotel
Day 10 - Kauai at Leisure:
A free day to do as much, or as little, as you please. The activities desk at the hotel can help you plan your day. Perhaps rent a car and drive around the island, or take a boat trip along the scenic Na’Pali Coastline. Maybe you simply feel like lounging on the beach or by the pool. Enjoy your final full day in the Aloha State. Hotel
Day 11 - Kauai to Honolulu:
Enjoy a relaxing start to your last day on Kauai. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Honolulu, so you can connect to your flight home. Or perhaps you will want to return to Waikiki and extend your Hawaiian stay just a bit longer.
