Anatolian Highlights Tour of Turkey
Experience some
of Turkey's finest ruins, most impressive
monuments, the turquoise coast and one
of nature's most fascinating phenomenons
at Cappadocia. This tour also give passengers
the option of sailing on a gulet (yacht)
from Fethiye for 3 days!
Day 1 - Arrival
Day: Welcome to Istanbul
Private transfer to your hotel located
in heart of old city, Sultanahmet.
Day 2 - Istanbul
to Pamukkale (B)
We partake in a fully guided tour of Istanbul
this morning visiting places such as the
Blue Mosque, Saint Sophia Museum, Topkapi
Palace, Underground Cistern and Hippodrome.
Board evening train to calcium terraces
of Pamukkale.
Day 3 - Pamukkale
to Koycegiz (B + D)
After our guided tour of the ruins of
Hierapolis, we drive to Koycegiz for our
night stop.
Day 4 - Koycegiz
Boat Trip (B + L + D)
Board a boat and cruise on lake Koycegiz.
Pass the Kings Tombs, swim at Turtle Beach
and cover ourselves in mud at the thermal
springs.
Day 5 - Koycegiz
to Fethiye via Kayakoyu (B)
This morning we continue driving south
and visit the deserted village of Kayakoyu.
This evening we rest in Fethiye.
Day 6 - Fethiye
(B)
Free day. Paraglide, swim, party, relax
or take a boat out to Butterfly Valley…the
choice is yours!
Day 7 - Fethiye
to Antalya via Saklikent Gorge (B + L)
Trek through Saklikent canyon and/or take
a tube ride down the rapids. This afternoon
drive to Antalya for our night stop.
Day 8 - Antalya
to Cappadocia via Konya (B + D)
Long journey today as we cross the Anatolian
plain and stop for lunch near Konya. Visit
the caravanseray at Sultanhani and rest
in Cappadocia for the night.
Day 9 - Cappadocia
Tour (B)
This morning we marvel at the surreal
landscape that is Cappadocia.We will visit
the Goreme Open-Air museum, Zelve, Avanos
pottery village and Uchisar Castle.This
evening we have the option of attending
a traditional Turkish Folklore night.
Day 10 - Cappadocia
Tour (B)
After breakfast we have another full day
of touring this amazing region visiting
an underground city, the old Greek village
of Mustafa Pasa and Pigeon Valley. We
return to our Hotel late afternoon.
Day 11 - Cappadocia
to Istanbul via Ankara (B)
Drive to the nation's capital in Ankara
for tour of Ataturk's Mausoleum and Ancient
Civilisations museum. This afternoon,
drive back to Istanbul.
Day 12 - Tour
Finishes (B)
After breakfast, our tour concludes.
